After having done more research into f...I hear you. After having done more research into fluoride, I've concluded (for now) that topical fluoride is a <i>good</i> thing. I was fluoride-shy when my older son was a baby (for good reason in his swallowing-toothpaste days, I grant you) and used a fluoride-free tooth gel past the time when most toddlers would have switched to fluoride. We went to his first checkup when he was 2 or 3 (I forget now), and his teeth were <i>awful</i>, which was mostly for genetic reasons. We switched to a fluoride toothpaste, and everything's held steady since then and not gotten worse. So…yeah. I gave up on my tooth soap at the same time and switched back to fluoride just in case!<br /><br />I have to admit, I haven't tried homemade deodorant yet.
